We’re making some updates to our Privacy Policy

At Trade Me, we take our members’ privacy seriously and are committed to being transparent about how we look after your personal information. That is why we wanted to let you know we’re updating our Privacy Policy.

Our updated Privacy Policy can be previewed on our site in full, and the key changes are:

• Trade Me Jobs: We’ve provided more information about how we collect, use and disclose your information in relation to Trade Me Jobs.
• Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Laws: We’ve added details on how we collect information to comply with recent changes to AML laws. This mainly affects members whose trading activity reaches a high-value threshold.
• MotorWeb: We’ve made specific updates related to our MotorWeb business, to accommodate upcoming changes to the Privacy Act 2020.

These changes will come into effect on 1 October 2025.
