Bombing champ returns to family land to reclaim the bach his grandfather left him

Hads Te Huia is restoring his family's historic bach on whānau land in Kawhia, reconnecting with four generations of history. The bach, promised to him by his grandfather, is being revived after falling into disrepair.

Hads aims for a rustic, "Raglan surf bach look" using donated and upcycled materials sourced through community support. The project is deeply meaningful for his family, who are thrilled to see him return to the land and preserve this special place for the future.
